I think I'm finally ready to invest in a pair and I'd to get some recommendations on certain retailers online that are trusty to buy from.

Boots by Bohemond is a good bet as well. Several folks have boots from him.

Thanks Alric. In the future I plan on learning how to make my own but I'm looking to buy my first set. Do you have any idea how the sizes run? I know it says American sizing, but even mass-produced shoes don't have consistent sizing (I'm a 10.5).
Dronning, I'll check them out as well.

Your Majesty, I forgot to ask how the sizes run for that company. Anything I should know?

Frank will know better than I.

very good! Which company did you get yours through?
Would anyone be interested if I can work a deal with Bohemond on a few pairs at one time?

I bought them from Bohemond. I usually wear a 10.5 and ordered a 10 and they're actually just a tiny bit loose, so if anyone is thinking about buying them and is a half size I'd go with the smaller half. The only problem I've had is that a small part of the sole is already starting to peel up in the back (probably my fault) but some shoe goop should fix that.

Too late. Goop is a dollar, shipping is 10. There's also a nice shoe repair shop in Petoskey if anything major ever happens.
